About Cheeky Tea


A & LAllow us to introduce ourselves. We are Leslie Mufson and Andrea Whalen and we created Cheeky Tea. People are always asking us, 'How did you come up with the idea for Cheeky Tea?'  A common misconception is that we bought into some existing franchise. The truth is Cheeky Tea evolved into what it has become simply out of necessity.



We have both been tea drinkers all of our lives and soon after meeting we realized we had something else in common: a teacup collection which began from our mother and grandmother. Between the two of us, we have many children, and we also had a desire to start a business that was all our own while also being conducive to mothering.  After toying with the idea of opening a tea shop in a neighboring village, we decided that a business that would allow us to choose our own hours would work better around the demands that motherhood can bring.



So, we decided that we'd bring the tea party to the people.  We'd serve several types of teas, bake fresh scones, bring all types of women together, and serve them on beautiful china.  Well, then, why not develop our own line of merchandise to offer women so that they could recreate this whole experience in their own homes.



To accomplish all of this we began to develop a catalog of merchandise that we thought to be wonderful, unique, beautiful and delicious. Currently our catalog carries everything from foods to china, linens to napkins. We are proud to now be offering our catalog on-line to you. In addition to the beautiful tea items that we carry, we will be happy to assemble your selections as a gift basket and ship anywhere in the United States. And, while we hope that you're enjoying a cup of tea while shopping our new website, we're hopefully helping to teach women to "Take time for what matters most in their lives through the simple pleasure of sipping tea."
